Amman Valley Women's Aid are now running the Freedom Programme - a programme that helps women to identify the tactics abusers use, the beliefs held by abusers, and the effects that domestic abuse can have on women and their children. It also aims to help women to recognise potential future abusers and helps women to gain self-esteem and confidence. The programme is run on a weekly basis at our community office every Thursday morning. Women can start the programme at any time as it is a rolling programme, however they are required to complete six two hour sessions in total. Each session is entirely confidential, and women can contribute as much, or as little, of their own thoughts and experiences as they like.
